Objectives
History
The founding of PDRC International (PDRCi) was preceded by an informal support group that continued the work of PDRC Nepal in the United States. For 5 years, this informal group helped PDRC Nepal’s work on a case-by-case basis. Upon realizing that their work could be more impactful on a larger scale, the informal group registered as an official organization in 2016 that served the greater good instead of solely individual cases, thus forming PDRCi. What started as an extension of PDRC Nepal’s mission in the US evolved to become an official 501(c)(3) non-profit made up of Nepalese professionals that focuses on bringing equitable education to marginalized communities in the United States.

It further envisions ensuring that all children and young people have access to inclusive and equitable education all over the world. It has a vision of empowering people through education so that children and young people enjoy the right to quality education everywhere.PDRC International creates opportunities and strives towards a more equitable society by strengthening the capacity of young people to help them recognize their talent, realize the potential, and become economically active for social transformation. We also provide networking and mentorship opportunities for the upcoming generation from underserved communities.
